One of the most important considerations in the selection of aluminium radiators is the distance between the tappings of the products. The tapping distance is the distance between the water inlet and outlet thread centers of your radiator. The aliminium radiator you will buy must be in the tapping size suitable for your current installation.

The distance between the tappings is the value obtained when you measure the distance between the two pipes (water inlet and water outlet) of the heating installation right in the middle of the pipe.

As you can see from the photographs and technical drawings of aluminium radiators, the water inlet and outlet points may differ from standard panel and cast iron radiators.

For this reason, especially if your installation has not been done yet, inform your installer about the aluminium radiator tapping gaps you like and ask him to prepare the plumbing  according to these tapping gaps.
